Management of the project schedule

The construction of a schedule follows a precise and structured approach in six phases. In a predictive environment, the detailed planning will be done before the project with the aim of minimizing the changes during the project to follow the baseline as closely as possible. In agile, iterative, adaptive and hybrid project environments, global plans will first be defined to meet the initial requirements and then refined at each phase of the project life cycle.

WBS Definition

The WBS (Work breakdown Structure) corresponds to the division of the project into different batches according to what has been defined in the perimeter management plan. This decomposition can depend on the organizational structure of the company and follow a functional division of the project / product or represent the phases of the project life cycle. The WBS allows perimeter tracking and deliverables easier to manage. Associated with the costs, it offers the possibility to follow in parallel the physical progress and the budget advancement.

Project planning under Primavera

Primavera is a planning tool that allows for complete planning of projects, programs and portfolios. This tool allows integration of resources, costs and document tracking. Primavera also allows you to work online to encourage collaboration between teams. Depending on the planning tools present in your organization, I can also plan your projects under MS project or any other tools that allow the realization of Gantt charts. For projects of a few hundred tasks, I can also offer you a simplified version of an Excel Gantt chart incorporating resources and costs

Project planning under Excel

Easy to set up, I propose a schedule under Excel that will give you a quick overview of your project. By associating resources with tasks, this tool will allow you to anticipate the workload of your teams in order to optimize the management of your project portfolio.

Earned Value Analysis Report

Associated with the schedule or table of progress of the deliverables, the EVM method allows a comparison of the expected physical progress and the actual cost, with baseline.
